Report a correction

If something about a candidate, a measure, or an office is wrong or out of date, tell us. Include the page or ballot it appears on, what is wrong, and a source for the correct version if you have one.

Corrections are checked against the source and fixed whichever candidate or side they concern. We do not remove accurate, attributed criticism because a campaign asks, and we do not add praise that has no source.

Candidates and campaigns

If you are a candidate or represent one, the same address works. A factual error on your profile will be corrected. The positions we list come from your own public statements, so the fastest way to change how we describe them is to publish them where we can cite them.

How the research works

Where the information comes from, how sources are chosen, and what we do when something cannot be verified is set out in the methodology.

Partnerships and press

Newsrooms, libraries and civic organizations can read about ways to work together on the partnerships page.

Voting questions

We are not an election office, and we cannot check your registration or tell you where your polling place is. Your state or county election authority can — their links are on every ballot and on each state page.
