Pennsylvania held its primary on May 19, 2026. Republican incumbent Lloyd Smucker faces Democrat Nancy Mannion, an emergency nurse. The district covers all of Lancaster County and the southern half of York County and has been safely Republican. In February 2026 Smucker sued the local newspaper, LNP | LancasterOnline, for defamation over an opinion piece about his statements on health care for immigrants — a dispute that runs through the race. Roster confirmed against Ballotpedia, WITF and ABC27 reporting. Criticism of Mannion by name could not be found, so her entry carries no arguments in either column.
